see that magazine peeking out on the left there? the last [ever] issue of gourmet mag. i was going to keep it in it’s little bag / pristine, mint condition (inheritance for the children, etc) but then i didn’t.
+ yeah, cheez its. part of a well-balanced meal.
(remember when i used to cook?)
i finally got off my fat, take-out loving ass and cooked up some dinner. got me some frozen salmon filets (courtesy of costco and mom) and some sad looking zucchini from the fine fare and made a little dinner for one.
(miriam ate her miso soup and pasta across the table)
salmon - salt, pepper, olive oil and a couple lemon slices. get a nice crust going on one side, flip over and cover. let sit for a little bit and let the insides cook.
zucchini - toss with salt, pepper and olive oil. add some smashed garlic bits and sautee.
spritz everything with other lemon half. add some more salt if you like things salty.
so delicious! (and nutritious?)
leftovers for lunch are just a bonus.
