yeah i iced some tea
jasmine, green, lemon, bit of sugar in the raw (white needs restockin’), lemon slices and sun and brew
cooled it off in the fridge - wished i could join
served in a mason jar with a handle im so cool
and this is…
few days old tofu, drained, cubed, draped with a mixture of good quality soy sauce, hoisin sauce and a bit of ume plum vinegar, just because it smells so good.
under a drift of thinly sliced scallions and a pinch of chili flakes, heaven.
ideally would pair with sesame oil (which i like, rarely) but i searched the pantry and there is none so i go buy.
hot tofu
it’s one hundred and two (million) degrees outside
i couldn’t bear to move, but i need to eat
i’m poor and there’s tofu in a tupperware in the fridge, so
you do the math

HEY KIDS!
(remember when i used to cook?)
i finally got off my fat, take-out loving ass and cooked up some dinner. got me some frozen salmon filets (courtesy of costco and mom) and some sad looking zucchini from the fine fare and made a little dinner for one.
(miriam ate her miso soup and pasta across the table)
salmon - salt, pepper, olive oil and a couple lemon slices. get a nice crust going on one...
